BOOTING UP FOR THE TRAVEL BUSINESS

Get sent on the front line with the photojournalistic approach of Stephen Dupont and Tim Page.
Over the past two decades, Dupont has produced a remarkable body of visual work; hauntingly beautiful photographs of fragile cultures and marginalized peoples. He skillfully captures the human dignity of his subjects with great intimacy and often in some of the world’s most dangerous regions. His images have received international acclaim for their artistic integrity and valuable insight into the people, culture and communities that have existed for hundreds of years, yet are fast disappearing from our world.
Tim Page’s photographic career started by accident in Laos, where he covered the civil war for UPI – he was sent to Saigon where he earned himself a reputation as daring and high-spirited photojournalist, but one who always came back from the field with something special. His photos were beamed around the world and this started his freelance work for the wire – photo agencies AP, AFP, UPI and magazines TIME-LIFE, and PARIS MATCH. He was seriously wounded four times, the last time, he was declared dead on arrival at the hospital. Tim will explain how to be successful in travel photography without getting killed!
