Jackie's personal challenge is to capture the essence of wherever she is on the planet. To notice the beauty in shapes, textures and light, while at the same time referencing who she is and what she likes to photograph. "My image making is intuitive and spontaneous; I primarily make images that present themselves to me. I believe in following my intuition and in the process of 'going with the flow' I work hard to get the shot and once realised I then will go on to find the next one. My work will never finish and I love it this way."
Jackie Ranken is a Master of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography, twice winner of the Australian Institute Landscape Photographer of the Year, winner of a World Press Award, A Master & Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Professional Photography, 30 years experience as a Professional Photographer
