APERTURE IN DEPTH
by Steve Parish - Saturday 31st May 2008 3.30pm to 4.30pm - Room M4
Every picture tells a story. And so do the tools you use to create and manage those pictures. From the selection of your equipment, to capturing, image processing and delivery, every step is crucial. Come talk shop with world-renowned wildlife and landscape photographer, Steve Parish, for this free presentation on managing photography in the digital age.
Steve was one of a small group of diver-photographers who pioneered underwater nature photography in Australia, recording on film many invertebrate and fish species previously unknown to science. He has developed photographic skills and a variety of styles from art to scientific documentation in aerial, underwater, urban, landscape and wildlife photography. Over a thirty-year career he has collected one of the largest, privately owned, nature-based photographic libraries in Australia. Steve is a major contributor to the national and international awareness of the enormous diversity of Australia’s flora, fauna and landscapes. Many products, such as the now well known panorama and deluxe postcards, regional greeting cards, souvenir calendars and diaries, bookmarks, nature relaxation CDs, and children’s pictorial educational publications, have been launched for the first time in Australia from the Steve Parish Publishing Studios in Brisbane.
